The KiBA Tanz Akademie was founded in 1999 as a children's ballet - today's Tanzakademie rechter Zürichsee -, under the direction of Anna Simondi Imwinkelried. The school offers classical ballet and a contemporary dance programme to children from the age of 5 and teenagers. The school is recognised by dance suisse as a professional ballet school. In 2002 Anna Simondi opened the first Pilates studio in Meilen and the surrounding area. Classes are held in groups or as personal training. Management under Anna Simondi A graduate ballet dancer of the Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Anna Simondi danced for 12 years on the stages of the opera houses of Düsseldorf and Zurich (Zurich Ballet) and at countless guest venues as a soloist and semi-soloist. Later she was a soloist with the Movers in Zurich and with the Cathy Sharp Company, Basel. Today, the mother of two is a trained and certified Pilates contrology teacher, as well as the owner and director of TAnZ Akademie rechter Zürichsee GmbH. As a ballet master, she trained the top young athletes in rhythmic gymnastics at the Zurich Gymnastics Association ztv. She is the initiator, co-founder and training director of the swiss offspring ballet association. Every two years she directs and choreographs the TanZ Academy performances. Dr. Alfred TOMATIS showed that by modifying someone’s auditory capacity that the person’s behaviour and language are automatically transformed. To do this he created a device called the « Electronic Ear ». " LISTENING IS MUCH MORE THAN HEARING " Numerous applications of the Tomatis Method are generally grouped under “Listening and Communication”. The Electronic Ear corrects listening difficulties thanks to “auditory gymnastics”. With severe problems the auditory training can work with or prepare for other treatments. - Learning Difficulties - Language Integration - Pregnant Women - Seniors (redynamisation) - Voice, Music and Singing - Stress Start with an AUDIO-PSYCHO-PHONOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT Before doing listening re-education, a child or adult needs a listening assessment (APPA). This involves a background evaluation where the child’s history is noted in detail, followed by a series of tests(listening, laterality, psychological, spatialization…) The child and parents (preferably both the mother and father) are then interviewed by a Tomatis consultant. The assessment, which lasts approximately 2 hours, is necessary to determine the child’s potential and in what ways the Tomatis Method could be recommended.
