Quality dental care and a person-friendly service The Servizio Medico Dentario Regionale (SMDR) operates on the third floor of the Mendrisiotto Ambulance Service (SAM) headquarters, in Via Beroldingen 3 in Mendrisio. The Service is a dental medicine clinic equipped with four independent studios with the possibility of traditional and three-dimensional (3D) radiology and offers hi-quality care and services, with competence and professionalism at advantageous rates. Treatments and care are characterized by a holistic approach tailored to the person and his needs. The staff is able to accommodate people with disabilities and with special needs. Our Multidisciplinary Team is able to offer the following services: • Conservative and aesthetic dentistry • Endodontics and endodontic surgery • Fixed and removable protection • Oral surgery and periodontology • Implantology • Pedodontics • Oral engineering and profiling • Emergency service • 3D radiology • Anesthesia and sedation • Home Dental Care (Portable Unit) Dr. Cristiano Savioli, SMDR Health Manager - SSO and OMDCT member -, coordinates the Team of 14 people including 3 additional dentists (Dr.ssa Francesca Bruno - Dr.ssa Marina Nogic - Dr. Claudio Musati), 3 dental hygienists , 1 chair assistant, 5 chair assistants and 1 chair assistant in training. The Regional Dental Medical Service - SAM is the dental medicine center of the region which operates in agreement with the 14 Municipalities of Mendrisiotto. At the service of the citizen Thanks to the agreements in place with the Municipalities and on the basis of the new Dentotar price list, our patients can take advantage of the following discounted rates: • Persons domiciled in the area: point value CHF 1.00 • Persons domiciled outside the district: point value CHF 1.10 On the other hand, the SMDR proves to be particularly attentive to economically disadvantaged patients, both through the possibility of installment payments and through the reports of the Chancelleries of the Municipalities belonging to the SAM Association and collaborates with the social offices of the Canton. To meet the treatment needs of our patients, even in cases of people with disabilities or who cannot reach the office, the Service is equipped with a portable unit to perform dental care and hygiene at home. This recent purchase was made possible thanks to a donation from the Croce Verde Mendrisio Foundation. The Foundation itself, owner of the grounds and headquarters in Via Beroldingen 3, has also carried out expansion and improvement works for the SMDR studio in order to make it more welcoming and functional. If you receive by appointment, in the event of an emergency, everything possible is done to welcome patients without a reservation on the same day. Our multidisciplinary team is able to welcome and communicate with users in the following languages: Italian – French – German – English – Spanish – Croatian – Italian Sign Language (LIS). The Service is a dental medicine clinic equipped with four independent studios with the possibility of traditional and three-dimensional (3D) radiology and offers hi-quality care and services, with competence and professionalism at advantageous rates. Treatments and care are characterized by a holistic approach tailored to the person and his needs. The staff is able to accommodate people with disabilities and with special needs. Our Multidisciplinary Team is able to offer the following services: • Conservative and aesthetic dentistry • Endodontics and endodontic surgery • Fixed and removable protection • Oral surgery and periodontology • Implantology • Pedodontics • Oral engineering and profiling • Emergency service • 3D radiology • Anesthesia and sedation • Home Dental Care (Portable Unit) Dr. Cristiano Savioli, SMDR Health Manager - SSO and OMDCT member -, coordinates the Team of 14 people including 3 additional dentists (Dr.ssa Francesca Bruno - Dr.ssa Marina Nogic - Dr. Claudio Musati), 3 dental hygienists , 1 chair assistant, 5 chair assistants and 1 chair assistant in training. At the service of the citizen Thanks to the agreements in place with the Municipalities and on the basis of the new Dentotar price list, our patients can take advantage of the following discounted rates: • Persons domiciled in the area: point value CHF 1.00 • Persons domiciled outside the district: point value CHF 1.10 On the other hand, the SMDR proves to be particularly attentive to economically disadvantaged patients, both through the possibility of installment payments and through the reports of the Chancelleries of the Municipalities belonging to the SAM Association and collaborates with the social offices of the Canton. To meet the treatment needs of our patients, even in cases of people with disabilities or who cannot reach the office, the Service is equipped with a portable unit to perform dental care and hygiene at home. This recent purchase was made possible thanks to a donation from the Croce Verde Mendrisio Foundation. The Foundation itself, owner of the grounds and headquarters in Via Beroldingen 3, has also carried out expansion and improvement works for the SMDR studio in order to make it more welcoming and functional. If you receive by appointment, in the event of an emergency, everything possible is done to welcome patients without a reservation on the same day. Our multidisciplinary team is able to welcome and communicate with users in the following languages: Italian – French – German – English – Spanish – Croatian – Italian Sign Language (LIS).
