The Osteria Carletti is located in the village of Bedano a few kilometers from Lugano, in the historic core of the village. The traditional restaurant, with its distinctive and refined interior decoration - restored while preserving its history and warmth - radiates a unique and unmistakable atmosphere. History

In 1885, our ancestor Costantino Carletti opened the business of "Grotto Carletti." It is assumed that, in those years, there were no rooms in the building but only his apartment on the upper floors. In the nearby vineyard, until the early 1990s, there were two bocce courts and a rest stop with a wine cellar.

During warmer periods, the grotto was closed and "transhumance" took place in the adjacent land, called Ciòs, where people played bocce, drank and ate. At the same time, Constantine also developed the trade of buying and selling wine: in fact, not far from the Strada Cantonale, there was a warehouse with the inscription "Vini Carletti".

Since those years, many phases of renovation and expansion have followed until today it is known as "Osteria Carletti" - hotel and restaurant, with about twenty beds and several dining and meeting rooms. Successive generations, some in one way and some in another, have contributed to the development of the building and the vineyard.

The last major phases were completed at the end of May 2022, during which the bar room with reception was added. As for the management. Constantine was the first and last gerente of the Carletti family.

Today we are happy to introduce the new gerenti: Yvonne and Stefano Caligari, whom we wish all the best in their start and continuation of the business. Yvonne will be the main actress in the management of the restaurant-hotel, while Stefano will be able to express his professional passion as a winemaker and winegrower: together they will bring forward their experience and enthusiasm for the pleasure of your palates.

Restaurant

A typical Osteria with the main room capable of seating up to 50 people and the rustic press room where meetings and tastings can be held for up to 30 people. Grilled meats, Mediterranean cuisine and local products spoil the palate of gourmets.

During the warm season, you can enjoy the specialties comfortably seated on the terrace, under the pergola; the coolness and the intense scent of American grapes, will make your stay even more pleasant.

Vineyard

For more than a century, Osteria Carletti has welcomed its customers within the walls of the Bedano core, a gathering place for locals. In addition to the restaurant and hotel, at the Osteria Carletti you can enjoy numerous wines from around the world and especially the house wine produced directly from our vineyard. Treat yourself to a relaxing moment and accompany our culinary creations with a good wine. Our staff will be happy to offer advice and accompany you on this unique journey of flavors and traditions.

Hotel

The Osteria Carletti has several rooms furnished and renovated in vintage style. We have free parking for our guests, wi-fi in the facility and breakfast is included in the price of overnight stay. All rooms have a private bathroom. Treat yourself to a relaxing and revitalizing overnight stay. In the morning you can enjoy a continental breakfast, included in your overnight stay, and in the evening at our restaurant you can sample our Mediterranean cuisine. Osteria Carletti is located in the core of Bedano. A small historic center not far from the Agno airport and a few kilometers from Lugano. We have several rooms, decorated and restored in vintage style to preserve the authenticity and tradition that has been handed down since 1885. We have free parking spaces for our guests within walking distance of the facility.
