The Child/Youth/Family department provides services in the extracurricular specialist areas of work, family (supplementary family care), leisure (hub, children's office, old school), school, public and politics in close cooperation with the two parishes.

Main tasks

• Operation of daycare centers (crèches/after-school care)

• Outreach work and offers for children and young people

• Provision of infrastructure offers for young people (band rooms, party rooms)

• Procurement of day care places (day care families)

• Development and implementation of Horgen's child and youth policy
