Description
Your specialist in Clinical and Metabolic Nutrition
Your specialist in Clinical and Metabolic Nutrition in Lausanne and the canton of Vaud.
My career path began in Paris, to finalize my training in general medicine in Grenoble. Having a Swiss family, I wanted to return to my origins and continued to Geneva and then Lausanne, where I trained in Clinical Nutrition first at the HUG and then at the CHUV. I confronted my clinical practice with my ideas by doing research in intensive care, always with the aim of better nourishing my patient to solidify their structure so that they can receive all the medication they need to heal or improve. I have passed the Swiss Society of Clinical Nutrition (SSNC) and the European Society of Clinical and Metabolic Nutrition (ESPEN) diplomas. I initially focused on oncology patients by creating an Artificial Nutrition network in the canton of Vaud, wanting my patients to be able to continue their treatment at home and surrounded by their loved ones.
I am joining Prof. Michetti's team to continue supporting the metabolism and nutritional status of patients with pathologies that induce undernutrition. Inflammatory intestinal diseases, like cancer, induce a disorder of our metabolism as well as deficits in our diet or malabsorption, or increased energy expenditure. Nutrition is at the crossroads of multiple pathologies, and a systemic approach is essential in these complex chronic pathologies. Our nutritional status is the foundation of our structure, Undernutrition induces poorer tolerance of treatment, induces an increased risk of infection, hospitalization...etc
Processed food has been shown to have a causal relationship with the risk of inflammatory disease in general including that of the digestive tract and probably other chronic diseases (Cancer, Diabetes...)....).
In order to be able to have an action on the brain, because we are a WHOLE, I trained in Medical Hypnosis so as to be able to help our patients " wake up the doctor in them" and give them access to their resources to modulate their symptoms. This neuroscience-based practice teaches us to control the intensity of our pain, manage our feelings and mobilize ourselves for our care. Hypnosis has been shown to improve the quality of life of oncology patients in particular.
Finally, in order to have an efficient approach to my practice, I wished to take a Diploma in Management of Health Institutions at the HEC in Geneva.
I am therefore at your disposal to help you be the actor of your health by optimizing your Nutrition and Your Brain.
