Physiotherapist specializing in Neuroriabilitation; part of the Specialized Group of Physiotherapists in Multiple Sclerosis Switzerland (GSFSM); training in respiratory care of the patient with severe Cerebral Lesion.

NeuroRE-HUB was created to improve the possibilities of taking care of the neurological patient in the territory and offer a specialized service of neurological physiotherapy at home in the Locarno area.

The team includes Francesca Estrada Daniele, owner, and Florisa Gatto, employee, who works mainly at home; we also collaborate in our practice with colleagues Laura Delucchi (Pediatric and Adult Neurological Rehabilitation) and Miriam Bonalumi (Geriatric and Parkinson's Rehabilitation).

Why NEURORE-HUB?

A HUB is a collection point and that's how this small center wants to become: a quality therapeutic center that brings together different professionals related to the field of Neurorehabilitation. Currently, the practice houses 4 physiotherapists specializing in the neurological field who work both in the office and at home.

In addition...:

... the name NeuroRE-HUB recalls the specialized field of Neurorehabilitation, friendly called neurorehab in English;

... HUB: the Brain, the focus of Neurorehabilitation, is itself a HUB, a clearinghouse of incoming and outgoing information; in its original meaning furthermore HUB represents the hub of a wheel, from which the spokes branch out: an active and dynamic core, connected to every point on the periphery. And this is how neurological rehabilitation operates: we rely on input and stimulation from the periphery to reach the core and stimulate its neuroplasticity.

Finally, HUB recalls the image of the wheel: in this case, of 2 wheels! As a matter of ecological ethics and for the promotion of physical activity, travel in the area is done as much as possible by bike.

- 2012-2020, Physiotherapist specializing in neurorehabilitation and respiratory care of the patient with severe brain injury at the Hildebrand Clinic in Brissago

- At the Hildebrand Clinic Brissago: Lead physiotherapist in the Multiple Sclerosis Specialist Group with participation in research projects; implementation of thematic webinars during the COVID pandemic in collaboration with the Swiss Multiple Sclerosis Society ; Respiratory Therapy Group therapist; Student leader for Ticino and Inner Switzerland and internship liaison

- since 2020: GSFSM Switzerland (Specialized Group of Physiotherapists in Multiple Sclerosis Switzerland) therapist with periodic refresher trainings

- 2020, Physiotherapist specializing in neurology and respiratory therapy at the Fisioterapia alla Piazza studio in Brissago

- from January 2023, independent physiotherapist at La Fisio studio in Muralto
