Description
Our offer
Our therapists have over 20 years of experience in traditional Chinese medicine and their services are recognized by supplementary insurance companies for complementary medicine.
Treatment methodsHeat therapy
The therapist uses the index, middle and ring fingers to feel the pulse at three different points on the left and right wrist. According to conventional medical standards, it is not decisive whether the pulse is too high or too low. TCM recognizes many different pulse qualities (thin, string-like, fluttering, etc.). This allows the therapist to find out where there is an energy surplus or deficiency in the patient's body and apply the methods accordingly.
The body of the tongue provides important indications for determining the energy quality in the individual organs.
Nature endows the human body with extensive self-healing abilities. Acupuncture is a typical example of how Chinese medicine specifically mobilizes this self-healing ability to combat diseases. During acupuncture treatment, the needles inserted into the body by the therapist trigger the body's own stress reactions. The nervous, endocrine, respiratory, digestive, circulatory, locomotor, immune and urogenital systems react to this and immediately release a variety of bioactive substances: Neurotransmitters from the nervous system different hormones from the endocrine system, protective bodies, alexin and tumor inhibitors from the immune system, digestive enzymes from the digestive system, etc.
Through the body's own autoregulatory feedback mechanism, the bioactive substances reach the various organ systems of the body. As a result, acupuncture therapy triggers the body's own self-regulation and stimulates its self-healing powers.
Cupping, moxibustion, heat therapy, ear acupuncture and plum blossom needle treatment are other forms of acupuncture treatment.
Electro-acupuncture is based on the same theories and principles as acupuncture with needles.
In electro-acupuncture, the acupuncture needles are also electrically stimulated so that they emit a weak current into the tissue around the respective acupuncture point. According to TCM theory, this additionally stimulates the circulation of Qi.
The Tui-Na massage influences the meridians and their collateral vessels. This is done with various hand movements. Tui (pushing) and Na (pinching) are the two most important techniques.
During the treatment, the practitioner looks for the blocked meridians and addresses the energy stagnation and disharmonies according to the diagnosis. The acupuncture pathways are treated with very fast, high-energy hand movements. As soon as the practitioner has treated the affected meridians, joint and muscle blockages are released, similar to manual medicine.
The air in the cupping glasses of different sizes is heated and the glasses are placed on the skin. The cooling of the air in the glasses creates a negative pressure and thus acts like a connective tissue massage. The flow of Qi, blood and lymph fluid is stimulated. The local blood circulation in the skin and muscle layers is stimulated.
MoxibustionMoxa cigars, which are sticks of dried and pressed mugwort (Atremisia), are usually used. These cigars are lit and the glowing end is brought to within 5 to 10 mm of the acupuncture point to be treated until the patient feels a distinct heat. The cigar is then briefly removed and the process repeated until the treated area of skin reddens.
This type of treatment is mainly used for "cold findings".
