Medical services of neuropaediatrics:

Diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the entire nervous system (brain, cerebellum, spinal cord, nerves and muscles) in children and adolescents.

In particular the following:

General neuropaediatrics:

• Headaches, including migraines
• Developmental disorders or developmental delay incl. standardized, developmental-neuropaediatric assessment (developmental and intelligence tests, examination for dyslexia and dyscalculia
• Cerebral palsy (including treatment options such as botulinum toxin injections) and other
  movement disorders  such as tics, tremors, gait abnormalities, balance disorders, etc.
• ADHD/ADS
• Atypical head shapes (too small, too large heads, craniosynostosis, etc.)
• Peculiar muscle tension or muscle tone
• Muscle weakness
• Neuromuscular diseases
• Infectious and inflammatory diseases of the nervous system
• Dizziness
• Sleep disorders (e.g. night terrors)
• Check for suspected autism
• Skin and nervous system diseases (neurofibromatosis, tuberous sclerosis, etc.)
• Diseases of peripheral nerves (e.g. facial nerve palsy) and muscles
• Brain malformations and genetic diseases affecting the nervous system
• Neurodegenerative diseases and metabolic disorders affecting the nervous system including inpatient clarification of their causes

Epileptology: with the help of electroencephalography or EEG (=brain waveform)

• Epilepsies
• Epileptic seizures and affect convulsions
• Fever convulsions
• Symptoms suspicious of epilepsy such as absence episodes
• Unclear disturbances of consciousness

Child neurological emergencies:

Epileptic seizure, acute headache, acute double vision, acute loss of vision, acute paralysis

Consultation hours: Monday to Friday 8am-12pm and 1pm-5pm
