WHAT IS ROLFING?

Rolfing is a treatment method that restores unbalanced structures of the body (e.g. postural damage) through a special form of connective tissue massage 

Treatment approaches are the fasciae.

These are tough, connective tissue skins, which envelop and connect all components of the body such as bones, muscles and organs 

As a whole, these fasciae form a kind of three-dimensional network 

. This gives the body cohesion, resilience and shape and thus determines the basic structure of our body.

This fascia network provides an important part of the necessary tension and support when standing upright and walking, thereby relieving the muscles.

What ROLFING CAN do

Rolfing helps people to achieve a physically, mentally and spiritually, upright posture  in the literal sense!

Everyday strains, accidents, acute or permanent stress "deform or stick together" the fascia network

The affected muscles harden and become more immobile. This results in uneven strain on different fasciae and muscles. The metabolism in the area is restricted. The statics of the body is  negatively affected. This results in poor posture, tension, pain, etc.

A decisive influence on all imbalances in the body is exerted by gravity 

 Rolfing is able to improve these unbalanced tension conditions. It is a method that is able to shape the body in the long term.

The body needs  less energy to keep itself upright and  thus functions better at all levels (nervous system, breathing, circulation, metabolism).
