Valentina Benassi - Benny Pottery

Via Pedemonte 2, 6962 Viganello
Valentina Benassi - Benny Pottery - Ceramic Artist - Lugano

In my studio in Viganello, ceramics becomes much more than an art form: it’s a fusion of passion, tradition, and innovation. Each piece I create is the result of a unique experience, a process that blends the ancient craft of ceramics with contemporary trends. Clay , shaped by hand, tells the story of its maker, and it’s this story that I want to share with those who enter my creative world. With a degree in Ceramic Design and over 15 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of furthering my knowledge through courses and workshops in Switzerland , Italy , and Japan , where I refined traditional techniques and explored innovative approaches. This continuous commitment to learning allows me to offer my clients not only unique pieces but also a high-quality artistic experience that goes beyond simple creation: it’s an opportunity for personal growth. In my studio , I create sculptures , home decor items, ceramic jewelry , and functional objects like plates , cups , vases , and much more. Each piece is born from aesthetic exploration and the intent to combine design with functionality. Every creation is unique, designed to reflect not only my artistic research but also the needs of those who approach me in search of something special and one-of-a-kind. If you are looking for an object that tells a unique story, something you won’t find anywhere else, my studio is the perfect place to bring your idea to life. One of the most important aspects of my work is teaching . I offer ceramic courses for both beginners and advanced levels, for adults and children. Each course is tailored to meet individual expectations, allowing each participant to experience something that goes beyond technique. The courses are organized flexibly, both private and group sessions, and take place not only in my studio in Lugano but also in other locations when needed, where I hold workshops for anyone who wants to discover the world of ceramics. Each class is an opportunity to experiment and release creativity, exploring together techniques such as modeling, throwing, decoration, and glazing. For me, the art of ceramics is a means of communication, a way to express emotions and ideas through the hands. In this process, clay becomes the medium through which we rediscover the joy of creating something with both body and mind in an increasingly fast-paced and virtual world. My goal is for each participant to experience a creative and meditative journey that encourages concentration and personal expression. Custom commissions are one of my specialties. Whether it's creating an exclusive object for the home , designing pieces for restaurants , or crafting personalized gift items , each request is handled with the utmost care and attention. Every custom project begins with a dialogue with the client, translating their ideas and desires into ceramics, creating something truly unique. Collaborating with artisans, interior designers , and restaurants allows me to develop exclusive artisanal projects, creating unique and functional decor solutions. I work closely with clients to ensure that every piece perfectly meets their needs, combining the beauty of ceramics with modern, functional design, intended to enrich spaces and everyday experiences. In my studio , it’s not only about the creation of objects, but also about building a community. I am a member of local and international ceramic and artisan associations, and by participating in events and fairs, I strive to promote ceramics as a form of cultural and creative expression. These collaborations are key to creating a link between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, enhancing ceramic heritage in a modern way. If you wish to explore your creativity through a ceramics course or commission unique pieces for your home , business , or as a special gift , my studio is the ideal place to experience the passion for craftsmanship, excellence, and innovation. Every project is designed to offer you a unique experience, balancing tradition and contemporary design. I look forward to seeing you! Valentina

S’SCAPADE CROUSAZ

Quai Gustave-Ador 42, 1207 Geneva
S’SCAPADE CROUSAZ : school dedicated to academic support and parenting guidance

📌 What do we offer? We provide homework support classes for primary school students, German classes for middle school students, as well as holiday workshops in German and French. We welcome pre-teens and teenagers. We also offer parenting support workshops: how to combine kindness and firmness through encouragement and the development of social-emotional skills. We guide our students so that they can develop study methods and organizational skills; we help them with subjects they struggle to understand; we provide them with unique, personalized support; and we offer them a learning environment that fosters focus and success. We provide parents with workshops that teach them how to combine kindness and firmness in order to assert their authority and improve family life; keys to understanding the meaning behind their children’s behavior; and above all, a safe space to share, exchange, and find solutions together. 🚀 Our strengths • Thorough knowledge of the school curriculum • Professional experience specifically with primary and middle school students • Small group classes (max 6) to encourage collective learning • Individualized follow-up with direct access to the teacher outside of class hours • A teaching approach based on Positive Discipline, providing a firm yet caring framework • Educational materials and study tools available to students • A warm and quiet space outside of school and home environments 🎯 Expertise and philosophy With over 10 years of experience working with children in school settings, we provide courses specifically aligned with the Plan d’Études Romand (PER) to strengthen our students’ academic knowledge and help them achieve the best results possible during their school year. We are familiar with the curriculum and the challenges students face when completing homework, learning German, and understanding or writing texts in French. We pay special attention to grammar and vocabulary learning, and to applying knowledge through individualized exercises tailored to specific needs. We do not use individual screens with students in order to promote handwriting, as we are committed to restoring their ability and motivation to write. We encourage our students to overcome academic difficulties by relying on their personal strengths and by introducing them to different learning methods. 💎 Services and Pricing Our group classes are priced at less than CHF 40/hour. • Weekly German classes (9th–11th grade): CHF 200/month / 1h30 class with textbook and vocabulary flashcards • German workshop: CHF 250/week / 5 classes of 2h00 • Weekly homework support (5th–8th grade): CHF 170–175/month / 1h15 class • Holiday German workshops: CHF 250/week / 5 classes of 2h00 • Holiday French workshops: CHF 250/week / 5 classes of 2h00 • Parenting support workshops: CHF 50 for the first workshop / 4h00 session with materials

In my studio in Viganello, ceramics becomes much more than an art form: it’s a fusion of passion, tradition, and innovation. Each piece I create is the result of a unique experience, a process that blends the ancient craft of ceramics with contemporary trends. One of the most important aspects of my work is teaching . I offer ceramic courses for both beginners and advanced levels, for adults and children.
