Wanner Distillery was born from the takeover of Absintissimo by Romain, the youngest son of René Wanner. Romain continues the pursuit of quality initiated by his father, who was awarded more than 180 medals for his products during his fifteen years of activity. While absinthe remains the flagship product of the distillery, its gins are also well worth a try. All the spirits sold by the distillery are produced and distilled on-site in Couvet, and made from natural and as much as possible, local ingredients. Bugnon family, traditional production since 2005. Around two hundred years after the birth of absinthe, Claude-Alain Bugnon, who was born in the region but worked in oil refining, became interested in the drinks created by his ancestors and enjoyed for generations. Like many families in the region, he started making his absinthe in the basement of his house. Starting in 2000, he slowly gained a reputation that quickly spread beyond Switzerland. Using a recipe dating back to 1935, he developed a new absinthe which he dedicated to his creator at the time, Charlotte. Americans discovered "La Clandestine Bleue" (or CLB as some call it) through different "distribution channels". In 2005, as absinthe developed throughout the world and absinthe was about to become legal again in Switzerland, Claude-Alain was the first distiller from the birthplace of absinthe to take all the steps to become a legal producer. At the head of Artemisia distillerie artisanale, Claude-Alain and Karine Bugnon follow only one strategy: their passion for absinthe. The real thing, of course, produced with Val-de-Travers plants grown with care by our farmers. Loïs Auberson, founder of Julo Swiss Gin, began her entrepreneurial journey at the age of just 18. With a solid commercial background, he has also gained valuable experience in the funeral sector at the same time. Driven by a true entrepreneurial spirit, he has already successfully managed a company, which he sold in December 2022. This sale generated the funds necessary to make his dream come true: the creation of Julo Swiss Gin in March 2023. Passionate about Gin, Loïs has an impressive collection of more than 150 bottles, inspiring him to create exceptional products. All Julo Swiss Gin gins are made in an artisanal manner and in limited quantities in Landeron (NE), with high-quality Swiss suppliers. The alcohol used in the creation of these gins is also of Swiss origin. The company's name, "Julo," pays homage to Loïs' great-grandfather, who himself created a wine estate. This estate has today been managed by the family for four generations, thus perpetuating a tradition of excellence and innovation.
