The basic practical training lasts 12 hours and consists of modules 1-2-3, which must be completed in chronological order. Those who obtained the A1 license (before 01/01/2021) and wish to obtain the A 35 kW license must complete the training by only performing module 3 (4 hours). Candidates for the A 35 kW license cannot complete the basic practical training with vehicles of the A1 subcategory. Direct access to the unlimited A category is no longer possible, and one must wait 2 years from obtaining the A 35 kW category. Costs CHF 480.-- Full course 12 hours (modules 1-2-3) CHF 180.-- Module 3 for students who have completed the 8-hour training for the A1 category (modules 1-2) at CorsiMoto CHF 200.-- Module 3 Locations for the mandatory course for categories A1 and A 35 kW Luganese : Lugano - Gravesano - Bioggio Mendrisiotto : Mendrisio - Balerna - Chiasso Bellinzonese : Bellinzona - Camorino - Giubiasco Locarnese : Locarno - Losone - Tenero Riviera : Biasca - Osogna Minimum age for category A1 15 years : Light motorcycle with a maximum speed of 45 km/h (yellow license plate) with a cylinder capacity not exceeding 50 cm³ equipped with a spark-ignition engine or with a nominal power or continuous power of up to 4 kW for other engines. 16 years : Motor vehicles with a cylinder capacity not exceeding 125 cm³ and a maximum engine power of 11 kW. Minimum age for category A 35 kW 18 years : Motor vehicles with an engine power not exceeding 35 kW and a power-to-weight ratio not exceeding 0.20 kW/kg.
