Room of Silence: Meditation and Reflection Adjacent to the tea café is the "Room of Silence" – a special place for meditation, reflection, and inner stillness. Guests are invited to use the space during opening hours and may contribute voluntarily to its upkeep. Outside of regular hours, the room is available for meditation events and courses. A Place of Peace and Inspiration The MOMENT Café is a quiet oasis in the heart of the city, dedicated to relaxation and mindfulness. Here, there is no music, and conversations are intentionally kept minimal. Our café offers not only a retreat from daily life but also a space for inner reflection, contemplation, and creative inspiration. Amid the urban hustle and bustle, MOMENT Café invites you to experience the present moment mindfully and unwind in a peaceful atmosphere. Sustainability and Mindfulness MOMENT Café stands for sustainability, mindfulness, and a conscious lifestyle. We promote a culture of respectful and thoughtful interaction with both people and the environment. The neutral design of our space is deliberately free from religious or spiritual symbols, ensuring that it is welcoming to all, regardless of age, faith, or worldview, offering everyone a place for peace and reflection. Library in the Tea Café In collaboration with the GGG City Library Basel, MOMENT Café features a carefully curated library of books on philosophy and spirituality. These works can be enjoyed in the café’s tranquil ambiance. Library members have the opportunity to borrow books, and the café also offers a selection of in-house books and magazines for guests to enjoy during their visit. Room of Silence: Meditation and Reflection Adjacent to the tea café is the "Room of Silence" – a special place for meditation, reflection, and inner stillness. The simple space is equipped with mats, cushions, and benches, providing the ideal setting for personal meditation practice. Guests are invited to use the space during opening hours and may contribute voluntarily to its upkeep. Outside of regular hours, the room is available for meditation events and courses. Introduction to Meditation Courses We offer regular introduction courses to meditation, held approximately six times a year over three consecutive Wednesday evenings. These courses are ideal for beginners and teach fundamental meditation techniques to integrate mindfulness and peace into everyday life. Experienced practitioners will also find valuable insights to deepen their practice. After the courses, guests can join in for tea and conversation. Products for Enjoyment at Home For those who wish to continue their relaxation at home, we offer a selection of premium teas, organic herbal teas, traditional Panettone, and inspirational cards, all available for purchase in the café. These products reflect the MOMENT Café's philosophy and invite guests to integrate peace and mindfulness into their daily routines. Events and Room Rental MOMENT Café is also available for events with up to 50 guests. The space is suitable for a variety of occasions, such as readings, concerts, lectures, workshops, team events, or family celebrations. The "Room of Silence" is ideal for meditation courses, yoga, and therapy sessions.
