The Märtplatz Foundation is a training institution for young people facing psychological and social challenges. Around 45 individuals are trained in eleven workshops and studios, usually aged between 16 and 25. Vocational training takes place in a protected environment, with subsequent integration into the primary job market. Most trainees are referred by the disability insurance authority, in some cases by the juvenile court or a social services agency. The focus of the training is on the individual – their talents, interests, and abilities: strengths are nurtured, and manual, technical, and professional skills are learned and deepened. The training process takes into account specific difficulties and deficits. In this way, we offer all trainees a personalized education – in manual, creative, culinary, and technical professions. The goal is successful training and sustainable integration into the workforce. The following qualifications are offered: Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training (EFZ), Federal Vocational Certificate (EBA), and Practical Training according to INSOS (PrA). The Märtplatz Foundation was established in 1985 and is based in Freienstein, Zurich. The workshops and studios are located on the grounds of a former cotton spinning mill. Two shops are located in Embrach, and one in Rorbas.

ECAP is a non-commercial and non-profit adult education institute in Switzerland. Headquartered in Zurich, there are nine regional branches throughout Switzerland. Depending on the season, our offer includes fresh vegetables, seedlings, eggs, meat, flowers, perennials, tea and herbs, as well as some processed products. We sell our products in the 24/7 farm store. In addition, we supply the Enzian kitchens and produce specialties for wholesale. Certified with the Bio-Knospe, we guarantee a completely organic production. As a Pro-Specie-Rara member, we are committed to the preservation and propagation of old, traditional cultivated plants. The creation and preservation of an ecological balance is our main concern: we focus on the needs of plants and animals and thus create an optimal environment. Enzian Foundation For about 20 years we have been accompanying people with health restrictions in our special schools and businesses to enter the first job market.

20 years ago, the Enzian Foundation opened the Puls+ special school in Zurich-Schwamendingen; the special school capacities were quickly filled, so that two additional departments were established in Zurich and Glattfelden. We now offer 66 curriculum-oriented special school places for students with behavioral problems at three locations. From the first elementary school to the third upper school level, children and adolescents receive benevolent care.
