I have been working in ophthalmology for more than 25 years now, and I have never regretted this choice. Hardly any other discipline has undergone such exciting developments for the benefit of patients in recent decades. During this time, I have gained a wealth of experience in eye surgery, which helps me to successfully tackle even difficult and complex situations.
Interacting with patients and the knowledge of my colleagues are at least as important as technical skills—and that is precisely why I enjoy working at the Eye and Surgery Center at Basel Train Station. The professional and personal qualities, the modern infrastructure, the process-oriented thinking, and the optimal quality management at the Eye Center are of the highest professional and personal standard.
In my free time, I relax in the garden, in the forest, or in the mountains of the Lötschental valley. For many years, my wife and I have been traveling to the African continent—safaris are our passion.
