After several years working as a general practitioner and family doctor, I was looking for a challenge in a specialist field of medicine which, in addition to consultations and the valuable contact with people, also includes surgical work. Ophthalmology combines these different elements very well. On the one hand, the ophthalmologist can explain the majority of visual disorders and complaints of patients with uncomplicated tests and provide relief with simple measures. On the other hand, the enormous technical progress made in recent years means that numerous options are available to better treat patients with serious eye conditions. The task of providing patients with an improvement in their symptoms through competent diagnostics, advice and treatment and, if necessary, surgery is extremely satisfying for me.

Here at the eye center I appreciate the young and open-minded team, which creates excellent conditions for my ophthalmological work.
