I have been working in ophthalmology for more than 25 years now and I have never regretted this choice. Hardly any other discipline has seen such an exciting development for the benefit of patients in recent decades, and I have been able to gain a great deal of experience in ophthalmic surgery during this time, which helps me to successfully tackle even difficult, complex initial situations.

At least as important as technical expertise is the way patients are treated and the knowledge of the staff - and this is precisely why I really enjoy working at the Eye and Surgery Center Bahnhof Basel: I experience the professional and human quality, the modern infrastructure, thinking in terms of processes and optimal quality management at the highest professional and human level at the Eye Center.

In my free time, I like to relax in the garden, in the forest or in the mountains of the Lötschental. For many years, my wife and I have traveled extensively on the African continent - safaris are our passion.
