On the banks of the Cassarate River stood the Osteria del Porto, which over the years has earned the title of "Antica" (Ancient). Its centuries-old history dates back to the nineteenth century when it was a landing point for goods from barges. An Osteria, yes, but different: in tones, colors, and signs. A menu proposal between innovation and tradition, with the lake and mountains blending and meeting in the menus of Chef Domenico Rezza. We accompany the dishes with a selection of local and Italian wines, served with care by our dining staff. And then the special occasions, the happy hours, the exclusive terrace for private events. We will do everything to make you feel like at home. Since 1842 the Grotto Morchino is owned by the family Olgiati. Pierluigi Olgiati still keeps alive the tradition of genuine and popular people from Ticino and in particular of Lugano.

Il ravioli: La pasta troppo bianca per essere una pasta all'uovo come converrebbe per i ravioli. Troppo liscia e insapore. Il ripieno che doveva essere ai funghi porcini, non ne aveva né il sapore né il profumo. Molto deludenti. Migliori le orecchiette alle cime di rapa, che hanno fatto alzare il mio giudizio a sufficiente.

The fish is always fresh and is cooked mostly on the grill. It is always very busy and this guarantees a constant supply of fish. The staff is very friendly and professional. The prices are within the Swiss average.

A 15-minute walk from the station and city center, in the countryside, stands Villa Selva. This small hotel in the middle of the 20th century, still managed by the same family, it has retained the atmosphere of a typical and cozy private house Ticino. Ho cenato con 3 amiche, scegliendo diverse pietanze da cui "pizzicare". Siamo state tutte molto contente della presentazione, del sapore e della varietà dei cibi come pure della tranquillità del locale. Anche il servizio è stato da noi giudicato molto positivo. Torneremo sicuramente!
