History of the Station...
This elegant building opposite Cully train station was built at the end of the 19th century to provide shelter for passengers waiting for trains. In 1903, the Swiss Federal Railways sold the building to a private individual who decided to turn it into a restaurant.

The terrace was covered around 1930 to become a dining room from which guests can admire the leaded stained-glass windows of the period.
In 2000, Jean-Luc Vermorel took over the buffet.
Renowned at the time for its famous pike quenelles, Jean-Luc Vermorel wanted to bring his creative touch to offer a more sophisticated, lighter, and more accomplished cuisine.
He bought the building in 2007 and undertook several renovations, including the restaurant, terraces, and café in 2013.

For 13 years, the restaurant has been working with suppliers who are passionate about and respectful of their products. Two local fishermen supply the restaurant with the fruits of their labor.
The Restaurant de la Gare in Cully offers typical Vaud products and French cuisine.
Chef Jean-Luc Vermorel offers gourmet, original cuisine that respects the ingredients and is impeccably cooked.
Every lunchtime, you can come and discover their dishes of the day.
And on sunny days, the restaurant has a magnificent shaded terrace.
In addition, the Restaurant de la Gare also offers a catering service with a wide choice of menus, for groups of 15 people or more.
The restaurant can also organize buffets (Swiss, Italian, or French) for groups of 25 or more.
