WE CAN HELP YOU WITH OBESITY
We offer specialized consultations on an individual basis for patients with various types of metabolic problems. Our focus is on obesity, pre- and post-operative care following weight loss surgery, diabetes, blood lipid disorders, and osteoporosis.
We are able to rely on the modern infrastructure of the Hirslanden Clinic and specialists from all disciplines in the immediate vicinity, which saves time during examinations and avoids unnecessary travel. We can treat patients from all insurance classes, both on an outpatient basis and as inpatients. Good cooperation with the family doctor is very important to us.

SPECIAL ACTIVITIES
- Preliminary assessment and follow-up care after obesity surgery (bariatric surgery) in accordance with the guidelines required by the SMOB (Swiss Study Group for Morbid Obesity)
- Preoperative assessments including lung function, bicycle ergometry, and blood sampling
- 24-hour blood pressure measurement
- Oral lactose tolerance test to assess existing lactose intolerance
- Oral glucose tolerance test to determine diabetes mellitus
- Measurement of basal metabolic rate
- Measurement of body composition using BIA (bioimpedance analysis)
- Ultrasound of the abdomen and thyroid gland
- Foot consultation for diabetic foot syndrome. Interdisciplinary collaboration with specialists in vascular surgery, angiology, and infectious diseases
- Care at the Hirslanden Clinic for hospitalized patients of all insurance classes
- Nutritional counseling by certified nutritionists FH (covered by health insurance)
